Histo-pathological Effect of Cyclopropane and Halothane Anesthesia on Rabbit Liver During Hypovolemic Shock.

Abstract
This study was aimed to compare the histo-pathological changes, during Cyclopropane, Habit bane anesthesia on induced hypovolemic subject.
1. Chose 6 healthy rabbit of 1.8-2.2kg for experiment subject.
2. Divided above 6 rabbits into 3 groups
a. Pentothal anesthesia
b. Halothane 0.5-3.5% in 1 I N20, 02 mixture
c. Cyclopropane 20-40% in 02.
3. Under proper anesthesia, laparotomy was performed and removed 10 ml. of blood from inferior Vena Cava in 5 minutes interval, up to 30 ml. when all the rabbits showed signs of shock. Liver was removed after 30 min. of anesthesia.
4. Pathological findings consists of congestive changes and early degenerative changes, which are mainly due to hypovolemic hypoxia. Changes were mostly marked in Halothane group. And the same was seen in one rabbit who had cyanosis during procedure. There was no sign of toxic effect of above anesthetic agents.
